South Africa
South Africa is known for its diversity in cultures and languages. The country is ethnically diverse, with the largest Caucasian, Indian, and racially mixed communities in Africa. English is the most commonly spoken language in official and commercial public life. Diversity is a key feature of South African society, where 11 languages are recognised as official. Community leaders include rabbis and chieftains, rugby players and returned exiles and traditional healers ply their trade around the corner from stockbrokers, whilst housing ranges from mud huts to palatial homes with swimming pools.
South Africa is located at the southern tip of the continent of Africa with a coast line, which stretches for 2,798 km bordering both the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
